India Pakistan Trade Unit

West Midlands companies interested in trading with the vast market that is South Asia are to find the process so much more straight forward thanks to an initiative set up by Birmingham Chamber of Commerce’s International Trade Team. The India Pakistan Trade Unit (IPTU) www.iptu.co.uk is a two-way, international trade portal designed to maximise trading opportunities between West Midlands companies and their counterparts in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. IPTU offers businesses a world of real information, real contacts, real expertise and real business opportunities.

IPTU is the centre of expertise for South Asia and offers business support to West Midlands companies looking to do business in South Asia. Through the Unit’s extensive contacts both in the UK and South Asia, businesses can benefit from real information and assistance in their international trade activities in the four markets.

In addition, IPTU has a comprehensive network ranging from UK Trade & Investment and their International Trade Advisors - both regionally and nationally – right through to the commercial sections in British Embassies in the four markets. IPTU also has excellent relationships with the High Commissions and Consulates of the four countries based here in the UK.

The Unit is also responsible for co-ordinating West Midlands regional activities for South Asia ranging from hosting incoming delegations, running seminars and workshops about ‘Doing Business In Markets’ to trade missions and business visits to market.
