Visiting The Market
The International Trade Team organises a complete programme of ways to visit overseas markets for companies looking to export for the first time, as well as those who are established exporters.
Market Visits
These are professionally planned and managed group visits to overseas markets and are an economical way of developing your business. A UK Trade & Investment travel grant and competitive travel package reduce the cost of the visit and help and support is available from the British Embassy in finding and establishing contacts.
A list of current planned visits:
February 2009 West Africa - Ghana
March 2009 Philippines and Vietnam (Mission to Asian Development Bank)
March 2009 Washington D.C. (Mission to World Bank and IDB Headquarters)
Trade Fairs/Exhibitions (Worldwide)
Trade Fairs and Exhibitions are supported by UKTI. Fixed grants of up to £1,800 are available when the activity forms part of an agreed export strategy with an International Trade adviser.
